Process Flow

How a Custom Metal Trolley Is Manufactured

Professional trolley manufacturing is not only welding a frame. Structure, mobility, safety, packaging, and repeated use must be considered from the start.

01

Requirement Review

We check load, size, cargo type, floor condition, working distance, storage method, packing, and quantity.

02

Cutting & Bending

Tube, sheet, plate, mesh, shelves, brackets, and reinforcement parts are cut and formed according to the design.

03

Welding

Frame, handle, platform, side rail, mesh panel, and support structures are welded or assembled based on the trolley design.

04

Surface Treatment

Powder coating, galvanizing, stainless finish, or other finishes can be selected depending on indoor, outdoor, clean, or heavy-use environments.

05

Assembly & QC

Wheels, brakes, shelves, fasteners, handles, and accessories are assembled and checked before export packing.

Engineering Details

Trolley Design Points That Affect Real Use

Overseas buyers usually care about more than price. The trolley must fit the working route, cargo type, floor condition, storage method, and shipment plan.

Frame Strength

Tube size, wall thickness, reinforcement position, welding sequence, and deck support affect load performance and long-term stability.

Wheel Selection

PU, rubber, nylon, pneumatic, fixed, swivel, and brake casters should be selected according to load, noise, floor condition, and movement distance.

Handle Ergonomics

Handle height, grip direction, foldable structure, and pushing angle influence comfort and safety for repeated daily use.

Storage Layout

Flat platform, multi-shelf layout, mesh cage, side rails, drawers, or dividers should match cargo shape and picking workflow.

Finish & Corrosion

Powder coating, galvanizing, stainless steel, or other finishes help match indoor, outdoor, humid, food-related, or clean-area applications.

Packing & Shipping

Knock-down packing, nested structure, carton protection, pallet packing, and accessory separation can reduce freight and damage risk.

Material Options

Common Materials Used for Metal Trolleys

MaterialTypical UseBuyer Notes
Carbon Steel Tube / SheetIndustrial platform carts, warehouse carts, tool trolleys, cage cartsStrong and cost-effective; usually paired with powder coating or galvanizing.
Stainless SteelUtility carts, clean-area carts, kitchens, labs, food-related or corrosion-resistant applicationsEasy to clean and corrosion resistant; confirm grade and surface finish before quote.
AluminumLightweight carts, portable handling equipment, selected OEM projectsLower weight; structure needs to be reviewed for load and impact use.
Steel Mesh / WireCage trolleys, mesh rolling carts, double-layer cage carts, side panelsImproves visibility and containment for cartons, packages, tools, and loose goods.
